Pictures of Mekenzie
I took Mekenzie to the doctor yesterday for her yearly checkup and she did great. She wasn’t scared at all and even after I explained that they would have to prick her finger to get some blood…she was more upset about the bandaid than anything else. She wanted it off. She kept calling her finger prick a “shot”. She weighed in at 30 pounds (in the 34th percentile) and is 38 1/4 inches tall (68th percentile).

We went to check out the pumpkin patch and take a few photos….eat a little kettle corn…eat a funnel cake….buy a HUGE pumpkin….and have a great family day. Of course the day we went it was freezing and a little muddy and then a few days later it was back in the 70s, but it was a beautiful sunny day and we had fun. Click any of the photos from this year below for a gallery of 76. I have also included a photo from 2007 and 2008 so you can see how much Mekenzie has grown.

Just a few photos of Mekenzie. There are four photos of Mekenzie wearing the boots our awesome neighbors gave us (their youngest has outgrown them). They are way too cool pink Barbie boots. Mekenzie had to put them on right away and parade around the driveway and culdesac. There are also photos of Mekenzie coloring with the crayons that Aunt Tina and Quinn bought for her last year for her birthday. She loves these crayons and likes to line them up and stack them up as well as color with them. THANK YOU for all these cool gifts!

We went to our favorite zoo….the Memphis Zoo and then went to Matt and Casey’s for dinner with the family. We had a great day. =) The last picture is Mimi with Mekenzie, Gus, Lucy, and Lily before they all leaned in to kiss Mimi and the actual kissing. So cute.

We went to the Memphis Botanic Gardens to see My Big Backyard Children’s Garden, and to see a very good friend of mine that I had not seen since middle school because she moved across state with her family. In an odd coincidence she married one of Brooks’ friends in Memphis (It is a very small world). They have a very handsome and photogenic son who had fun showing Mekenzie all the cool things to do in the gardens. =)

On Monday Sept. 7th, Mimi had a special birthday party for Mekenzie and her cousin Lucy. Kenz turned 3, Aug 22nd, and Lucy turned 6 on the 20th. It meant a lot that they could share this special day together with friends and family. Thank you Mimi!
