This is the first of several sets I will upload to flickr so you can see what we have been up to this summer. This set shows our visit to the splash pad with Amy and Bryce, our photo with Red Robin (not sure if the bird is a Mr or a Ms), and our visit with our good friends The Peterson’s to the Little Ponderosa Zoo (where Mekenzie went on her first pony ride). Merry Christmas 2008!

Below is a photo of the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. Click on that photo to see more from the week of Christmas (putting together the bike, a visit from Aunt Steph,…) and Christmas Day. Mekenzie was a good girl this year and told Santa she wanted a red bike. We bought a tricycle for her online and put it together a few days before so we wouldn’t have to stay up all night on Christmas Eve. She was so excited to see her new tricycle (with matching Sesame Street helmet of course) and kitchen (from Mimi-Claus) (with pots, pans, utensils, wooden fruits and vegetables that cut apart, and a few other necessary items for a little kids kitchen). We got her a few other things to open and she enjoyed that more than some of the gifts. We should have been smart and just wrapped up boxes inside of boxes for her to open. =) Mom and Dad came over and so did our good friends the Lindells. Brooks made 2 batches of his famous homemade spaghetti (one with beef and one with turkey). We had a great Day with our family and friends. Thank you to everyone for Mekenzie’s great gifts.
