Happy Birthday to you!!!!

Okay…so you are probably wondering why I made a birthday cake for my little brother Jamie (who is 28 years old today) in the shape of a baby block…with newborn baby boy colors. Well….I thought I would get a little practice before I attempt to make Mekenzie’s 1st birthday cake for her birthday (August 22nd). I think it turned out pretty good, even though it isn’t perfect. I think I will try a few different things for her cake (besides not using blue icing). Fondant is hard to work with, but the homemade buttercreme icing was awesome! Yum Yum!

Hello all,

We’re headed in to see the doctor for perhaps the news we’ve all been waiting for…

We’ve been patiently waiting for the doctors to tell us we can induce for a few weeks now and since the due date was on Saturday, we think its about darn time. Its obvious that Mekenzie is as comfy as can be and doesn’t want to grace us with her beauty just yet.

We’ll be posting the news as soon as we get back from the hospital.
