Meeting sweet baby Erik.

Monday, Mekenzie and I went to visit our good friends Aunt Tina, (new big brother) Quinn, and baby Erik who was 5 days old. He was born with jaundice and has had to “live” in his special “little suitcase” looking apparatus (phototherapy) with a blue light and his cool shades Velcroed to his head. He had his bilirubin levels checked today and he doesn’t have to stay in the blue light anymore! Yeah!!! “flying” a kite

We went up to the mountains to Cades Cove on Saturday and had a picnic…saw TONS of deer…saw a bear (while in the car on the way out of the park)…went on a short but peaceful hike…and attempted to fly a kite. There wasn’t a constant wind so we never got the kite up in the air for more than 30 seconds but Mekenzie had a lot of fun trying to make it fly (and it is pretty colorful..and very geometrical). First visit to the Knoxville Zoo in 2009.

Happy Easter 2009!

A few photos of Mekenzie discovering her Easter basket (with her wet hair from her bath), fun at Mimi ‘C’ and Papa’s house, and celebrating Mimi ‘C’s birthday (it was April 11th..same as Aunt Casey’s…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!). Dada was in NC for a concert so that is why he isn’t in any of the photos…and we missed him! We were lucky to celebrate with Uncle Jamie and Cousin Jimmy.
